Together We Can Stop HD
A Daughter's Letter
Dear
Friend, I am proud to be the daughter of Nancy L. Irwin. My mother
lost her courageous 16 year battle with Huntington's Disease on
Christmas Eve, 1998. My brother's battle is just beginning. Sean,
like my mother, embodies strength of character, the will to live
and the desire to fight. I am at risk for H.D. and pray everyday
that the future is bright… not only for me, but for my daughter
and my niece. Through the loving support of my father, friends and
family, I am privileged to host the first of many Nancy L. Irwin
Memorial Walk for a Cure events. I would be honored if you could
join us in the fight to find a cure for this devastating disorder.
Your strength and courage will help the community see that H.D.
is real and affects real families like mine.
With Sincere Appreciation,
Karie Irwin
